MAINTENANCE

Proper maintenance and care are essential to keep your virgin human hair bundles looking and feeling their best. Whether you have straight, curly, or wavy hair extensions, here are some general tips for maintaining and caring for them:

Styling products and tools for hair extension maintenance

1. Brushing and Detangling:

Before washing, gently detangle your hair extensions using a wide-toothed comb or a soft-bristle brush.

Start from the tips and work your way up to the roots to prevent damage.

2. Washing:

Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Rinse the hair with lukewarm water, avoiding excessive heat.

Apply shampoo to the scalp and let it run down the length of the hair. Do not rub or scrub vigorously.

Rinse thoroughly, and then apply conditioner from mid-length to the ends.

Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water to seal the cuticles.

3. Drying:

Gently squeeze out excess water with a soft towel; do not rub vigorously.

Allow the hair to air dry by laying it flat on a clean towel or a wig stand. Avoid heat styling while the hair is wet.

If you must use heat styling tools, use a heat protectant and set them to a low or medium temperature.

4. Styling:

Avoid excessive heat styling to prolong the life of your hair extensions.

Use heat protectant products when styling with hot tools.

Minimize the use of products containing alcohol, as they can dry out the hair.

5. Bedtime Care:

Before going to bed, braid or twist your hair extensions to prevent tangling and matting.

Use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and minimize damage.

6. Avoiding Tangling:

Minimize exposure to chlorine, saltwater, and harsh chemicals, as they can strip the hair of its natural moisture. Be sure to wash out any chlorine if it does get into the hair.

7. Regular Maintenance:

Trim the ends of your hair extensions every few months to prevent split ends.

Deep condition the hair every 2-3 weeks to maintain its softness and vitality.

8. Storage:

When not in use, store your hair extensions in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Use a satin or silk bag to protect them from dust and tangling.

9. Professional Care:

Consider consulting a professional stylist who specializes in working with hair extensions for maintenance and styling advice.

Remember that virgin human hair bundles are an investment, and proper care is essential to maximize their lifespan and keep them looking their best. With the right care routine, you can enjoy beautiful, healthy hair extensions for an extended period.
